Quinn Rowe

As the Federal Clean Energy Campaign Manager, Quinn educates Wisconsinites on the benefits they’re eligible for through Pres. Biden’s Affordable Clean Energy Plan. He collaborates with local partners on presentations and canvassing efforts to spread information about the tax credits and rebates available for clean energy and energy-efficiency home upgrades.

My Story

I grew up in Stevens Point, where I would try to spend as much time outside as possible. I would run in Schmeeckle Reserve, disc golf at Yulga Park, and ski the Plover River Trail. Growing up in a community with such well-kept natural amenities that were accessible to everyone was such a blessing and instilled in me the obligation to protect our environment.

I also grew up with a deep interest in politics and history. I would spend hours scouring every source of information I could find about whatever I was fascinated with that day. Seeing how average people banded together to advance the common good turned this curiosity into an ambition. I wanted to do all I could to serve my neighbors and fight for the common good. This led me to join programs like Youth in Government and Model UN, guiding me to further hone my skills at the University of Minnesota. Through different experiences with classes, internships, and organizations, I found I am a policy wonk. I am enthusiastic about parsing through pages and pages of legalese and figures, combing through diagrams and projections, having nitpicky discussions about policies, and ultimately deciding whether a program is good or bad.

Thankfully, my work with Wisconsin Conservation Voters allows me to advocate for and educate folks on a policy I strongly believe is furthering the common good. I get to travel to every corner of the state and inform Wisconsinites about all of the clean energy and energy efficiency cost-saving benefits available to them through Pres. Biden’s Affordable Clean Energy Plan. I talk with owners of old homes about what home improvements they could make to lower their heating and cooling bills. I discuss with first-time homeowners how they can apply for significant discounts for solar panels. I get to combine my love of talking about policy with people, and my desire to fight for a green, clean future.
