Milwaukee Community Listening Session

Your voice is needed! Wisconsin Native Vote, Wisconsin Conservation Voters, and the Indian Council of the Elderly will co-host a Milwaukee listening session to hear the concerns and hopes that our Native people have for the future. This community discussion will help inform Wisconsin Conservation Voters so that we can advocate for funding for those priorities in the 2024-25 Wisconsin State Budget.

Attendees will be entered to win a raffle drawing at the event! Wisconsin Conservation Voters’ Urban Native Vote Organizer Anne Egan-Waukau, Government Affairs Director Jennifer Giegerich and Government Affairs Manager Peter Burress will lead the discussion. There will be a morning prayer, and light refreshments and lunch provided.

When: Tuesday, June 4 from 10:15 a.m. to noon

Where: Indian Council of the Elderly, 944 N 33rd St, Milwaukee, WI 53208

Why: To build momentum for more collaborative campaigns in the future.

RSVP at this link or reach out to Anne Egan-Waukau, Wisconsin Native Vote Urban Organizer, at anne@conservationvoices.org.
